Privacy Policy

FestiveFace (festiveface.in) is operated by Essectra. This policy explains what personal data we process, why, and your rights under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

What we collect

• Your selfie(s), only after you tick the consent box. We re-encode the photo on upload, which removes location and camera metadata.
• Payment details: phone number and email that you enter at checkout, received from Razorpay. We never see your UPI PIN, card or bank details.
• Technical data: a random session cookie, your language choice, and a one-way hash of your IP address (used only for abuse prevention). Analytics are cookieless and contain no personal data.

Why we use it

• To create the festive images and greeting video you asked for.
• To deliver your purchase, let you recover it with your order code and phone number, and process refunds.
• To prevent fraud and abuse.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your photos to train AI models. We do not store face recognition data (face embeddings).

How long we keep it

• Uploaded selfies: deleted automatically within 24 hours.
• Free previews: deleted after 7 days.
• Purchased photos and videos: deleted after 30 days. Download them before then.
• Order records (code, amount, phone, email): kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.

Who processes it for us

Google (Gemini API, paid tier, which does not use your data for model training) and fal.ai generate the images. Cloudflare stores files and provides bot protection. Razorpay processes payments. PostHog provides cookieless analytics. Our hosting providers run the website. Some of these providers may process data outside India under contractual safeguards.

Your rights

You can ask us to confirm what we hold about you, correct it, or erase it. You can also withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent stops future processing, but it does not undo processing that already happened. Write to hello@essectra.com and include your order code, if you have one. We respond within 30 days.

Children

FestiveFace is for users aged 18 and over. Do not upload a photo of a child unless you are that child's parent or legal guardian.
